BIOS Update – Run from Windows
- Connect AC power. Before running update make sure to suspend BitLocker if you have that enabled.
- Download GG-157qv144.EXE and run update as administrator
- System will reboot to update BIOS. This will update BIOS, ME, and EC. The process can take up to 5 min. During EC update the fans will run at 100%, this is normal.
- After the update system will reboot a couple of times and then boot back into Windows.
BIOS Update – Flash Utility
- Download GG-QC144.CAP and copy to a removable flash drive
- Connect AC power and flash drive with BIOS file to laptop. Before running update make sure to suspend BitLocker if you have that enabled.
- Reboot or power on laptop and tap F7 to launch BIOS Flash Update Utility
- Select GG-QC144.CAP from media to update BIOS. This will update BIOS, ME, and EC. The process can take up to 5 min. During EC update the fans will run at 100%, this is normal.
- After the update system will reboot a couple of times and then boot back into Windows.
