ByteSpeed’s Employee Spotlight this month is our always-on-the-go, tradeshow-attending, customer-assisting, esports deployment launcher, Warzone extraordinaire. You may have seen him driving the ByteSpeed van for deliveries in North Dakota and Minnesota. When they aren’t making sales, his buddy Gavin is always dragging him out into the wilderness. Don’t ask him to roller skate, he doesn’t know how! Meet our Sales Administrator for MN, ND, WY, and AK… ALEX WEBBER!
Here’s what Alex had to say about working at ByteSpeed:
1. How long have you worked at ByteSpeed?
“I started working at ByteSpeed in January of 2021. I originally started off as Inside Sales and now I am more outbound, enjoying visiting tradeshows and working with customers! I also specialize in esports deployments and partnerships throughout our territory.”
2. What is your favorite part about working at ByteSpeed?
“My favorite part about working at ByteSpeed is that I get to help Tech Directors find or create a solution that benefits either a whole school district or a company. I find great pride and satisfaction in providing quick responses and genuinely wanting to help out the customer. Working in tech is a natural blend between my hobbies of gaming and coaching as well.”
3. Would you recommend a friend to come work at ByteSpeed?
“Most definitely! ByteSpeed is a gem of a company, we are large enough to work in every state within the US, however small enough to remain agile while navigating the supply chain issues the last few years. This keeps us competitive, but also allows us to get creative in finding the perfect solution. Beyond that, with our size, we are able to stay connected across all departments to create that sense of family! I am excited to see where ByteSpeed goes as we are constantly being innovative with new tech and ideas. It’s also refreshing that leadership takes input from all employees to strengthen the company further and to continue developing.”
4. How would you describe the employee culture at ByteSpeed?
“I grew up in a family owned business, so having a tight knit culture at work is important to me. ByteSpeed is just that, family. It’s a stimulating environment as well, with internal goals, there is always someone pushing you to be the best person you can be.”
5. When you are not at work, what do you like to do?
“I like to compete in esports titles! Warzone currently. Outside of that, I like to spend time at the lake with family, go for walks with my puppy and fiancée, and weightlift!”
